1- Drink chlorophyll
Chlorophyll blew up on TikTok for a while and many people still enjoy its benefits- including myself. This green liquid (also sold in pill form) has many benefits, including eliminating body odors.
That’s right. Regular consumption of chlorophyll can help you eliminate underarm odor, among other bodily odors you probably won’t miss much.
It has no taste at all and can be mixed in with a glass of water. Simple, and super effective.
You can get chlorophyll here if you’re interested in trying this game-changer for yourself!
2- Use mouthwash in your water floss
Did you know you can add some mouthwash to your water floss? Water flossing is amazing in general because it can really get everything out from your teeth, and when you add some mouthwash to your water floss, it can also cause your breath to smell great.
You don’t need a lot of mouthwash either, one or two capfuls diluted in some water will be enough to get your pearly whites looking and smelling amazing. Click here to see which mouthwash everybody is loving these days on TikTok.
3- Use dry shampoo at night
Dry shampoo is a life-saver on days your hair looks more greasy than you’d like, but there’s a better way to tackle second or third-day hair.
And that is to apply dry shampoo to your hair the night before you know it will turn greasy. This will prevent your hair from getting greasy in the first place, and you are going to use less of it in your hair than you would have the morning after.
Keeping it in your hair overnight will prevent any oils from ruining your hair in the first place, so it’s worth trying.
The dry shampoo we have been obsessed with for years (also one of the most affordable ones) is none other than the Batiste Dry Shampoo.
4- Keep a spare pair of underwear on you
Let’s face it. We all have, at some point, been in a situation where we wished we had a spare pair of underwear. It’s always a good idea to keep a fresh pair on hand to avoid any unfortunate stains or anything else.
Do you want to be extra prepared in case of a hygienic emergency? Keep an emergency pouch filled with menstrual products, wipes, and underwear on you and you’ll be prepared for anything.
You’ll also be the helpful girl who always has the emergency stash to borrow from.
5- Clean your piercings regularly
You should regularly be taking your piercings out and giving them a good clean. Buildup on piercings can lead to lots of gunk getting trapped in there, and it doesn’t exactly smell pleasant.
Make sure to also clean your ears thoroughly in the shower (and that includes the backs of your ears). You’d be surprised how many people forget to clean there.

6- Have multiple towels
Do you use the same towel for your whole body? You might want to add a couple more to keep it more hygienic. It’s best to keep one for the face, one for your sensitive areas, and one for the rest of your body.
You don’t want to transfer bacteria from other parts of the body to your face, right?
Also, you should wash your towels between every three to five uses to make sure you’re really keeping up with your hygiene.
7- Exfoliate your underarms
Our underarms go through a lot- shaving, waxing, and constant deodorant application. Exfoliating the area once or twice a week will help with keeping any ingrowns away, and it will also get rid of any buildup you might have on your underarms.
So the next time you’re exfoliating in the shower, show your underarms some love too. They need it just as the rest of your body needs it.
8- Eating clean will help you smell better
Yup, you read that correctly. What you put in your body really does make a difference in how good you smell. It does make sense if you think about it.
Clean food will have you smelling nice and fresh, whereas foods that are highly processed tend to make you smell worse.
Adding more whole foods like fruits, vegetables, and grains to your diet will help to get your hygiene game to the next level.
Water, too, makes a big difference. When you are properly hydrated, all the toxins get flushed out of your system. Make sure you’re properly hydrated by carrying around a water bottle at all times.
9- Deodorant isn’t just for underarms
If you live in a hotter climate or tend to sweat a lot naturally, you can apply antiperspirant in places like under your chest, on the back of your knees, and in between your thighs. This will help you stay fresh in those areas and not sweat as much.
Not only does excess sweat smell, but it’s also very uncomfortable to suddenly start sweating from multiple parts of your body.
10- Keep an eye out for changes
Us women need to make sure we are always inspecting our bodies for any sudden changes. Every day, make sure you are inspecting your underwear for changes in discharge, any strange odors, or sudden pain.
If you think that something is wrong, do see your gynecologist and ask to be checked. Sometimes it’s nothing, and sometimes it can be something that needs medication to fix.
Either way, you should be seeing your doctor regularly for a regular checkup, but more so if you think something might be wrong.
