Having a healthy morning routine is one way to ensure that you start your day on a good note. There are so many of us who struggle with their mornings, and having a morning routine can help you feel less stressed.

I’m a huge fan of morning routines and I think they are something many of us could benefit from.

If you’re someone who struggles with your mornings, you can really turn your mornings and life around by implementing a few healthy habits.

Below I am going to show you 10 habits you can add to your healthy morning routine. It is totally up to you to try out the habits which resonate with you, and you definitely don’t need to try all 10 at once.

Mornings are very hard for some of us, and trying to add multiple new habits at once can be challenging and almost impossible to do.

Waking up a few minutes earlier than usual and starting with 2 or 3 new habits would be more realistic for most.

Healthy morning routine for an amazing day,

Make Your Bed

Making your bed every morning is a great habit to add to your morning routine. It starts your day off with doing a productive hack, and some say that this helps to keep you productive throughout the day. Except when it is time to rest, of course!

Drink Water

Gulping down a huge glass of water every morning is super important for your health. You’ve been asleep and fasting for hours, and your body is very dehydrated first thing in the morning.

Drinking water is an amazing healthy habit to have, and starting your day with a glass of water is not something you should skip.

If you’re not a fan of regular water, you can always try infused water recipes.

Stretch It Out

A nice stretch in the morning helps to get your blood flowing and energizes you instantly. There are so many different stretches you can try which are easy and don’t take as much effort as a whole yoga flow would take.

Eat A Healthy Breakfast

A healthy breakfast can jumpstart your day and get your body and brain ready for whatever you need to tackle.

There are so many yummy and healthy breakfast ideas on Pinterest such as oatmeal, egg recipes, wraps and so much more. If you’re short on time, you can meal prep and have breakfast foods ready for you in your fridge.

Try Meditation

Meditating has so many benefits. From lowering stress to increasing self-awareness, meditating for a few minutes every day can really help you stay more mindful.

A few minutes a day are enough if you don’t have much time. I usually do between 5-10 minutes whenever I meditate and I find that it helps me plenty.

Say Your Affirmations

Affirmations always put me in a good mood and remind me of my strengths and things I love about myself.

You can either write your affirmations out in a journal, or say them to yourself in the mirror. Both work great in boosting confidence!

Journal Your Thoughts

If you’ve not yet started journaling, you should definitely give it a try. Journaling can be on personal events that have happened to you, or you can try different journaling prompts and write your heart out.

Planning your day out is another good habit you can start in the morning. I don’t know about you, but unless I write that I have to do something, I will most likely forget it.

Keeping a to-do list not only helps with getting organized and ready for the day, but it also is so satisfactory to look back at your to-do list in the evening and see how much you’ve accomplished.

Listen To An Audiobook Or Podcast

Learning about new things and reading are two things many people don’t do as much of as they should. Which is why audiobooks and podcasts are so good to listen to, even if for a few minutes every morning.

I usually listen to either when I’m getting ready in the morning or on my commute to work. Some people like to listen to them when working out!

All in all, getting more educated about topics that interest you will never be time wasted, so get it in while you can.

      These are really lovely ideas to start the day on a positive note. I will make sure to try some new good habits. I love to walk my kids to school and take a detour on my way back so by 9am I already have a good dose of fresh air xx
