How To Make Money Online Without Paying Anything:
Easy Side Hustles You Can Start From Home
In today’s post, I am sharing ideas on how to make money online without paying anything which you can start today.
Thanks to the amazing invention that is the internet, looking for odd jobs is now easier than ever. I personally think that having one or two side hustles in addition to your main job is the way to go.
Let me state the absolute obvious: extra money is always great. You can either use the money you make from your side hustle to pay off any debts you might have, put it towards savings, or use it as “fun” money. The world is your oyster.

So, without further ado, here are 10 ideas for how to make money online without paying anything which you can start and manage from the comfort of your own home!
Selling on eBay
If you haven’t read #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, that’s exactly how Sophia started her multi-million dollar empire.
Selling on eBay is a great side hustle to have. I’m sure many of us have things around the house that we don’t need or use anymore.
If you have a whole bunch of stuff in your house you don’t need like clothes, electronics or books, someone on the internet will buy it.
You can also get things from Goodwill for really cheap, and sell them at a higher price. Many people swear by this lately, and it’s definitely one to consider!
Teaching English online
Teaching online has become very popular in the past few years.
If you’re a native English speaker and think you would make a good teacher, there are many places online that will pay you to teach English to students abroad.
All you need is an internet connection and a computer with a webcam, and you’re set.
Here are some websites that you can register through:
Taking surveys
The internet is packed with websites that offer you money in exchange for filling out surveys.
These survey sites don’t pay a whole lot per survey, but you can accumulate a few hundred dollars a year if you do them every once in a while!
SurveyMonkey is one of the most popular survey sites around right now, so definitely check it out.
Creating an online course
Websites like Udemy make it super easy to upload courses on their platform.
If you know you are skilled at something and others would benefit from your knowledge, recording a video course might be just for you.
There are many excellent course-makers on Udemy who make a full-time passive income through their courses. So if it sounds like a side-hustle you’d be good at, definitely check it out.

Selling stock photos
If you have a good eye for photography, companies will pay you money for photos which they will turn into stock photos.
There is usually very little you will have to do after submitting the photos, and you get a big chunk of money made from the sale of each of your photos.
Here are some websites you can check out:
Selling on Etsy
If you make crafty things for your home, why not make them for selling?
You can sell literally anything on Etsy, from soaps and bath products to printables to even furniture and clothing.
If you are someone who is into crafts or likes to dabble in art or even jewelry making, Etsy can be a great place to start your business.
Check out how to get started with selling on Etsy here.
Reviewing books
If you’re an avid reader, there are websites that will give you free books in exchange for a review on each of them, and then pay you on top of that!
One of these sites I’ve come across is OnlineBookClub.
Definitely a good way to spend your free time and get paid for it!
Getting cash-back
If you like to shop online a lot, which many of us enjoy, getting cash-back on your purchases is the easiest way to make money.
Websites like Rakuten offer a percentage of cash-back from any store you shop at online that is affiliated with them.
If you sign up with Rakuten using this link, you will get $10 right away if you spend more than $25 on any purchase!
Dropshipping
Dropshipping is something I actually learned about on TikTok, of all places.
The basic gist of dropshipping is that you create an online store on a place like Shopify, and you can sell products to your buyers without stocking the items yourself.
Instead, when a dropshipping store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer.

Create a blog
Blogging is my favorite way of making money online from home.
Although it does not guarantee money right off the bat, the more you work on it, the sooner you will see money coming in. Here is how much money I made blogging last month.
If you don’t have a blog yet but would like to start one, I have an in-depth guide on how you can set up a blog from start to finish.

We sure can!
Thank you for sharing !
I think having a side business is a great idea, you can turn a hobby into making money while also not RELYING on it as you have a day job so it never rly becomes a chore. I also like how you didn’t include “join a pyramid scheme” LMAO
I sell on ebay and it does help. Its an easy side hustle to get anyone going.
Thanks for the post.
That’s awesome!
Great ideas, always a good idea to have a few hustles when you need to make extra cash I guess. Tutoring seems to be a good paying one.
I’ve personally tutored before and it’s really easy money!
Great list you got here for side gigs. I also made a post about the same topic. But I think I’m going to get into selling stock photos. I didn’t know you can do that! Hey again thanks for sharing the list! / DinoDidWhat.com
Yeah selling stock photos could be a great source of extra income if you’re into photography! It’s awesome you, too, have a post about side hustles! I will definitely check it out.
This is great!!! I’ve always been into multiple side hustles, rather than one day job. Guess that’s normal for a Multipotentialite, haha. At the moment I have a job, a blog, and 2 side businesses. I loved these ideas, starting to think I need more on my plate! I will definitely be looking in to some of these. Great post, thanks for sharing!!
That’s awesome! As long as you can handle it all, why not have as many side gigs as possible, right? I love it that we live in such a day and age where we can have so many more “jobs” than just a 9-5!
I bought #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso last year. I haven’t finished it yet — I really can’t remember why, probably lack of time, — but I really enjoyed the first part of the book and I remember feeling like starting my own business. That’s probably why I started to take blogging more seriously, because I’d really want to become my own boss one day.
This post was very helpful. Thanks for sharing, sweetie!

The Ebay hustle used to be my THING in college. But, people would have one complaint and it would just sour the experience. Any good recommendations for selling stock photography, though?
Try websites such as iStockPhoto, Dreamstime, Shutterstock, 123RF, or Getty Images via Flickr.
Thanks so much!
Ooh, I’ve bookmarked this page. I love some of the ideas you wrote about. Thank you so much for sharing this extremely helpful post!
