Success means different things for different people. For some, it might mean financial freedom. For others, success is measured by how many people they inspire or influence.
Whatever our definition of success is, I’m sure we all want to achieve success in our lifetimes, sooner than later if possible. Which yes, it is possible to achieve success early on in life.
I never dreamed about success. I worked for it.

They have a plan
Having a plan helps with knowing what we are eventually working towards. Think about what you want to achieve today, this week, this month, this year, and in the next 5 years. Write all your to-dos and cross those suckers out when you get done with them. If you are looking for a good printable planner you can print as many times as you’d like, try out the Slay Your Goals planner. It has certainly helped me with day-to-day craziness!
They have a morning and evening routine
These are so helpful especially when it comes to organization. When we do the same steps in the mornings, and then the same steps at night, over time our bodies and minds get used to those routines and we are able to achieve more during the day. Think of it this way: when you have a routine, you don’t waste time thinking about what you need to do next, and you know where everything you need is. Hence, time saved. Score.

They educate themselves
Education is super important, but I’m not just talking about schooling. Reading personal development books, taking online courses, listening to motivational speeches, listening to podcasts and learning a new language are just a few ways we can keep educating ourselves daily. Setting aside half an hour in our busy days is all it takes for some personal development!

They make time for themselves
If we want to excel in certain parts of your life, we have to take time-outs regularly. Not only does it help us avoid burnout, but it also helps our bodies relax and recharge. Taking as little as half an hour a day to do something for ourselves can have amazing advantages. Tonight, take some time to do something you’ve been putting off doing. Get that pedicure, watch that movie you’ve promised friends you were going to watch, or simply go for a walk.

They don’t compare
In today’s world with social media being everywhere, it is hard for us to sometimes remember that most of what we see online isn’t real. A big part of being successful is not to compare ourselves to others, as we all are on different journeys in life. Comparing ourselves to others will only tank our self-esteem, and we don’t want that. It is important for all of us to remember that we are good enough, and that we have everything it takes to slay our goals.
They keep pushing forward
Let’s face it- we all go through bad times and bad days. That’s just the way the cookie crumbles. What sets some people apart from others is the way that they react to those bad times. Sometimes things are beyond our control, and stressing out about them won’t solve them, but it will definitely impact our psyche negatively. Next time you are feeling bad about something that happened, think about what you can learn from it, and move on. Things always get better, we just have to trust in that.
What are some habits you’ve implemented in your life that have helped you along the way? I’d love to read about them below!

I love these! I like having my goals written on a board where they are in eyeline most of the time; water before coffee and eating a proper breakfast helps me to have more energy in the day π

Thank you for sharing this! I particularly think having a plan and not comparing are super important to me. I find not comparing myself to others really difficult, but doing so can be so demoralising, so I’m working on it. π

I also struggle with comparing myself to others at times. It’s hard not to sometimes but everybody is on different paths in life. I try to remind myself of that whenever I find myself comparing to others.

I also struggle sometimes with not looking at someone and wishing I had their life, but I try to remind myself that nothing is ever as it seems and that we are all on separate journeys!

Brilliant and very accurate tips here. I find myself doing most of these. I like to occasionally shake up my morning and evening routines just to keep it that little bit more exciting and less ”groundhoggy” if you know what I mean?
Great post honey.
