1- Invest in your health.
Health really is wealth, and it’s your best investment. Taking care of your health now is going to help you worry about it less in the future.
Sure, you can neglect your health, sleep, and body now, but that will only show up in unwanted diseases and stress later on in life. Save yourself the hassle and start now.

2- If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t.
Your intuition is your best asset. If something feels like you shouldn’t do it, don’t do it. Your gut feeling is always right, so learn to listen to it.
3- Quality over quantity, always.
This goes for many things, but mainly for who you surround yourself with. A small circle of people you trust and who elevate you to be a better person is way better than having tons of acquaintances you don’t really trust.

4- Be your biggest cheerleader.
In life, sometimes nobody will back you up. People might doubt you, or worry about decisions you might want to make. It is your responsibility to be your own hype woman. If you feel like what you’re doing is going to benefit you, do it.
5- Don’t keep up with the Joneses.
We live in a time of expensive cars, over-the-top trips, and unrealistic wardrobes. If you indulge in things like these, which is okay from time to time, make sure you’re doing it for yourself.
Keeping up with what the rich and famous are doing for the sake of showing off won’t bring you any fulfillment. Remember, you shouldn’t go broke trying to act rich.
6- Kindness costs nothing.
If everybody were kind, can you imaging what the world would look like? Try to do more acts of kindness throughout the day, compliment strangers in the street, and be respectful to your servers.
You don’t know what people are going through, and people who are rude are usually projecting an inner insecurity onto you. Kill them with kindness. It costs nothing.
7- Live below your means.
The rich stay rich by living below their means. Similarly to not keeping up with the Joneses, you also don’t want to be reckless with your money.
Start a savings account, stick to a budget, and reap the benefits of these habits for years to come.

8- Don’t take life for granted.
If the year 2020 has taught us anything, it’s to not take life for granted. You never know what might happen to you or your loved ones.
Live your life to the fullest, and don’t dwell on the past. Forgive those who have done you wrong for your own wellbeing, and start living life the way you want to.

9- Don’t be afraid of change.
Change is inevitable, and you can either learn from it or have it set you back. You should ideally be comfortable with change because it will happen. Learning to adapt to the changes around you will benefit you more than you might think.
10- Your habits define you.
Successful people get to their level of success because of the habits they keep. If your habits don’t align with your final goals, how are you supposed to reach them?
Incorporating good habits is the first step towards your desired life. Show up as the person you want to become every day, and you will get there.

11- Listen more, and talk less.
Don’t interrupt people when they’re speaking. Learn to listen to them, compose your thoughts, and then respond. This will teach you patience, and make you a better conversationalist.
12- You can’t change anybody.
You can inspire people sometimes, but if you think you can change a person, you’re probably setting yourself up for failure.
13- When people show you who they are, believe them.
Maya Angelou knew what she was talking about. The way people treat you is the way they feel about you. Read this again and again until you believe it.
14- People can’t read your thoughts.
If you’re upset with somebody, don’t expect them to read your mind. Use your words and communicate your feelings.
15- Move in silence.
Don’t announce your next move to anybody unless you have complete trust in them. And even if you do, be careful. Envy is real, and sometimes people can try to sabotage you.
16- Always stay humble.
Don’t be one of these people who get a whole new personality (often a more arrogant one) when you get some wins in life. Stay humble and remember that there’s always going to be somebody prettier than you, and somebody more successful than you.
17- Grudges only affect you.
Holding a grudge is like letting somebody live in your mind rent-free. Forgive and then forget them. Do it for your own peace if not for anything else.
18- Your life is your responsibility.
Only you are responsible for your life. You have made the choices that led you to this moment, not anybody else. Blaming others for your misfortunes is a waste of time. Use that time instead to assess and fix what you have done to get to this place.
19- Stand by your principles.
Along the way, you might be tempted to step away from the principles and standards you have set for yourself. Try to avoid giving in to these temptations.
20- Your words have power.
What comes out of your mouth has a huge effect on what will happen to you. Don’t badmouth others, think before you speak, and learn how to not overshare.
Conclusion
Life is full of lessons and great learning opportunities. Rather than winging it, it helps to learn from these lessons as best as you can to use them to your advantage.

*People can’t read your thoughts*
This is the one for me lol I definitely had to learn this the hard way but I’m glad I did because sometimes we get caught up in anger and don’t listen to learn . This statement relates so much when you are in a relationship. Our significant cannot head our thoughts nor the mixed signals we are sending lol We gotta speak up more even if it means being more vulnerable.
